After the success of The Avengers, there is no doubt that the superhero genre is a very dominant genre in the movie making business. Besides Nolan’s Batman and Christopher Reeves’ (first two) Superman, DC isn’t having the same luck as Marvel. Warner Brothers has now announced Justice League being put into production with a script currently being written. Sources say that Warner Brothers plan to aim this film to be “mature and dark” versus what the Avengers essentially is. Along with the announcement of The Justice League film, other properties are being put into production which include: Aquaman, The Flash, Green Arrow, Lobo, The Suicide Squad, Shazam and Wonder Woman. There is also talk as to what the studio wants to do with Green Lantern and if they want Ryan Reynolds back for another go. Only time will tell how this will all develop but at least we get The Dark Knight Rises next month!

Northstar was one of Marvel’s first characters to ever come out as a homosexual, paving the way for others to come out such as Batwoman (Kate Kane) all the way up to Wiccan and Hulkling from Young Avengers. The proposal issue should be out in june with a wedding in the following issue. The main question is will it go down without a hitch?

I gotta be honest here… I think this show is gonna be decent and I’m kind of looking forward to it! Maybe it’s because Green Arrow has been one of my favorite superheroes for a long time. Since his resurrection by Kevin Smith in 2001 the character has really grown in the comics and I really want to see if they can bring that growth to life. The only problem I may have with the show is the cast. Katie Cassidy can’t act. Plain and simple. I’ve never seen the dude playing Oliver Queen AKA Green Arrow before in anything but he seems to be bringing seriousness to the character that isn’t shown often in the comics…unless they’re going with one of the more popular darker presentations of the character, but I hope he can maybe lighten it up.

Hey Guys! Here is the latest trailer for The Amazing Spiderman!(Or as I’m going to start calling it, “An apology for Spiderman 3″).  This movie looks reaaaally good to me. The casting choice alone of Andrew Garfield was enough to make me think that this movie has potential and according to the trailers, It delivers! I think he’s got a better feel for the wallcrawler than Tobey Maguire ever did. His performance seems like it’s going to be closer to how the character from the comic book actually is. Plus the movie focuses on Peter Parker’s high school years which the other movies kinda just skipped over. The graphics look amazing and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing this!

I recently read Punisher: Born which follows Frank Castle (The Punisher, You should know that) through his last days as a soldier in the vietnam war. Hey Guys!! Here’s the New trailer for the Next G.I Joe movie. I’m gonna be completely honest, I thought the first trailer was wholly underwhelming… I gotta say that this trailer definitely makes up for it! Though a clear departure from the comic and TV series… I have hope that the new movie will be better than the first one, though it wouldn’t be hard to outdo the first movie (AKA one of the worst comic adaptations ever made). Because of the first movie however, I’m going into the theater with suuuuper low expectaions, that way if it is bad, I’m not hurt the way I was after the first one.

From what I can tell from the trailer, The Joes are attacked by a force so powerful that all but apparently 3 die. The GI JOE program gets disavowed. The remaining Joes go on a last mission to find out why their own government attacked them. It looks like it’ll be a decent flick at the least.
